I’m making a unicorn Elsa cake like this:Elsa Hair - Fondant Or Buttercream?

I can see that this one has buttercream hair. Would extruded fondant work as well? If not what tip would you use to look most like plaited hair?

Thanks

You could definitely use fondant if you wanted, but I could see it taking much longer to put together then it would piping on buttercream.  As for which tip I would use, probably my Wilton 1M.

You would not even have to extrude your fondant, just twist a few ropes together or braid three ropes.  I agree with Freckles0829, the Wilton 1M tip.
