How many medium size cupcakes can i bake from a 2kg bag of flour?
Medium side about 2 tablespoons per cupcake
depends on a ton of variables but just under 200 give or take a few
1 kg is 8 cups flour when I googled it
1 cup flour makes about a dozen cupcakes
16x12=192
i don’t know what the two tablespoon measure relates to if batter or flour — two tablespoons of batter is a mini cupcake not medium — if two tablespoons of flour idk?
Yah K8 I’m puzzled by the 2T thing too That would sure be a small cupcake But then not being in the US it might be the normal for where they are
yeah -- idk -- and if they know they want to use two tablespoons of almost anything they could figure out the first question I think but idk
I wonder if those are Australian tablespoons. Australian tablespoons are 4 teaspoons instead of 3 like the rest of the world. I use 1.5 ounces of batter for my cupcakes, which is about 3 American tablespoons and only 1 teaspoon more than 2 Australian tablespoons.
My recipe uses 320g of flour and yields 30 cupcakes. So, I'd get 187 cupcakes from 2KG of flour. Based on that, I could get 281 cupcakes @ 2 American tablespoons each or 210 cupcakes at 2 Australian tablespoons each.
I use 150g flour, 150g butter, 150g sugar and 150g of eggs to make 12 medium Victoria sponge cupcakes each using 50g batter.
So from 2kg of each ingredient I could make 13.33 times my recipe which is 160 cupcakes.
bakingg— if you want to respond — and we’d all love to hear from you — please start a new thread — thanks
