For her birthday, my niece wants a cake with Mowgli on it.  Figure I’ll just do a buttercream transfer on the top.

It’s a small cake, there will be other treats.

For the side I’m thinking of using Pirouette cookies, different heights, and piping some leaves and vines.

Does that sound jungle-y enough?  Any other suggestions?

Thanks

This cake didn’t take long at all (my son wanted to make it) since we just did a dark chocolate buttercream and a couple of chocolate fondant trees. Green fondant tree tops were just squished into different odd shapes and candy eyeballs were added all around. We also made some quick fondant animals but it’s up to you how simple or intricate you want to make it. This wasn’t for a customer so we just experimented with different ideas...The cookies you were talking about would work as trees as well!
