Anyone heard of this? Or have a trusted recipe they can share? What's the difference between this and a regular vanilla cake?

Not heard of it   Sounds like advertising of their products   This type of vanilla is said to be better more flavorful    As for a recipe I suggest the *original* WASC recipe found in the recipe section of this site   A very flavorful easy vanilla cake   It also can be made ANY other flavor you want:)

Thank you! Ill try that recipe with the Madagascar vanilla and see how it goes :)

Question, for the WASC recipe, it calls for one cup of flour. Does it matter what kind of flour is used? Special baking vs all purpose?

Also do you have any frosting or filling recipes you recommend for this recipe? I find buttercream too sweet and have been using whipped meringue but looking to switch it up

https://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/22469/2-icing               https://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/7445/the-original-wasc-cake-recipe            As for filling I almost always used Smucker's (brand) Simply Fruit - a jam commonly sold in supermarkets - any flavor you can get should be fine.  You could even add maybe 1/2 teaspoon of the vanilla in the filling :)    About the flour:  I always use all purpose.  I have read of some using cake flour and others self-rising.  I usually would sift the flour, carefully measure into cup, then sift again into the batter.    As for b'cream - it's really a personal taste - I love, Love, LOVE sweet things but if you want to use a meringue type it's up to you.

I use Madagascar Bourbon vanilla all the time, my favorite vanilla, in any recipe.  Use it just like  you would McCormics from the grocery store.  It just has a nicer taste.

It is VANILLA and can be used the same as any other brand of vanilla.
