I have to make a cake that looks like a cotton module (bale) . I cannot figure out how to make the part that looks like cotton of fondant.  I found this but can't find the person who made it -  on cotton.love.camo.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Thanks  Cotton Module Cake

I would just use different sized balls of fondant - slightly flattened - and smooth the edges together a little as you put them on the cake.  Unless you can find a mold, I wouldn't think you could do that in one piece.

The cake in the photo appears to be done with a mold, but I agree with cakefan92, different size balls of fondant, flattened or cut in half, would look even better.

I bet a cobblestone impression mat would help give you the same effect.

That is a brilliant idea, Freckles0829!  I would venture to bet that is what was used for the cake in the photo.
