Hi, I have a cupcake recipe I want to make into a cake, any idea how to convert it?

I have always used the same recipe for either   I see no need for a special recipe for cakes vs cupcakes     You just need to know how much batter goes into the pan        2” & 3” deep pans are filled differently so which are you using?

pour it into a pan and see how it goes — if it’s a commonly known recipe someone might already have some thoughts on it

I've never had any issues with using a cupcake recipe for a cake, though it can get tricky the other way around.  The only thing I'd change is baking time and temp depending on the size of the cake.

Some cupcake recipes are written for 12 cupcakes, those have to be doubled for a cake.
