Creating Stairs From Wedding Cake Layers

Does anyone have any ideas or tutorials on how to carve front stairs out of 3 or 4 layer stacked wedding cake?

If it is just stairs on one side you want...

why not do each layer of the tier an inch smaller than the previous...

Just line it all up on one side... the other side would then have stairs...
