I'm making a 2 tiered graduation cake for my niece. I was thinking of doing the bottom tier 8x6 (cake pan is 8x3) & top tier 6x6 (cake pan 6x3). How many servings would this cake make?

Thanks in advance for all help!

God Bless you!

Using those sizes  w/a cake board between the layers  of each size should  give you around 80 servings   It will be difficult to deliver— being top heavy:(

Thank you so much! I'm going to wait to stack the top tier on the bottom until I get there because I'll have to travel about an hour or so to get it there & they want whipped icing. I've got to try to keep it cool somehow with that whipped icing.

Regarding delivery check out this thread - especially Sandra's post (about the 3 or 4th one down)   https://www.cakecentral.com/forum/t/851226/deliver-tips

with the board in there, you'll get 1x2x3 inch servings instead of a 1x2x4 inch serving -- you get 3/4 of a regular serving  -- and those cake pans do not necessarily bake a 3" tall cake either -- unless you are doing pound cakes
