Making Edible Looking Glass

hey.. was just wondering if there was a way to make a a pane of glass that of curse is edible? I thought I saw somewhere about making crystal figures so I thought the same principal could be used to make a sheet of edible glass

Do you need it to be perfectly square or can it be free form going into a square cut??

What about using thickened geletain?

I don't know if this will help you...but when I make gingerbread houses, I melt hard candy pieces on a cookie sheet (within the cutouts I made in the gingerbread and it looks just like stained glass) Or you can use clear candies for clear glass.

You can actually buy clear gelatin in sheets. They look like hard flat lasagna noodles! I think they are pretty cheap too. I know they often sell them in European-style shops around here.
