And the more I bake, the more I grow to love parchment paper. Cheap large rolls at Sams club for EVERYTHING. Precut circles from Ebay.
Ditto what MBalaska and johnson6ofus said, you must prep your pans to prevent sticking. I like to line the bottom and sides of the pans with parchment paper, but you can shortening and flour them to prevent sticking. Non stick pans are usually dark and over bake the outside edges of your cakes.
