I am thinking about starting to vend at conventions and am trying to figure out the best way to travel longer distances with a stock of cupcakes and mini cakes. What would be the best way to to make sure that everything stays fresh and undamaged, without condensation or the like? Starting out I am thinking of going no further than about 500 miles.

Edit: it would end up being a day to drive there, a day to set up, 2 or 3 days of the show being open, and that ed n a day to drive back.

now, would I eat a three or four day old cupcake -- heck yes -- would I sell one? mmm no -- cupcakes have a short lifespan to me

Agree w/K8   The only way I see to accomplish this is to make freezer boxes to keep those cupcakes fresh   Lots of ice would be needed & large size blocks melt slower than cubes   Not sure how long either would last as of course weather would effect it  but might help   If those cupcakes are kept  fzn for an extra day it’ ll help some
