Hi everyone!!
I have searched this site and can't seem to find a solid answer. Dried fondant decroations vs soft fondant decorations?? When should i use one vs the other??
Thanks in advance
Ok - relax and think about this logically. If you want something to hold its shape and not move like a flower or figure, it needs to be dry. If they need to bend like on the side of a cake, they need to be somewhat soft. Keep in mind that putting fondant on buttercream will tend to soften up the fondant so if you need something to stay stiff, put it on at the last possible moment or put it on a small piece of plastic or cake board so it doesn't come in contact with the buttercream.
