I'm considering getting an extra fridge with a top freezer, because I don't have enough room in my one fridge/freezer for larger cakes or multiple cake layers in my freezer.

Can I plug/unplug the fridge/freezer as needed? Or is it best to leave it on?

I know this isn't necessarily a baking question, but I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this.

and I set a yardstick right inside the door sticking outside the door -- so that when it was off it would hold the door open without taking up too much space and the inside of the fridge would not mold or anything -- in an effort to not have to clean so much hahahahaha -- no but yeah I really did that blush

I thought I posted earlier:(   Do check w/a repair man as this can be very hard on the motor   It probably will depend on the make & model
