Painting On Fondant Absorbs The Paint And Makes The It Blurry

I use Wilton gel colours diluted with vodka. Sometimes I don’t use anything to dilute and just straight out paint using the gel colours.
But still the colours absorbs into the fondant and makes the whole painting blurry
what do you think is the issue?
