Hey!

I am a baker at home and nowhere near a professional, hopefully one day lol!

I have been asked to make my first wedding cake which I am super excited about! However, just needed some advice or tips on dummy cakes.

I was hoping to do a 10 inch, 8 inch and a 6 inch... the 8 inch would be the dummy cake (but a cut-out one, with a hole- see image)

6 Inch Cake On Top Of A Dummy With A Cut-Out In It? I was just wondering if the dummy would hold the weight of the 6 inch real cake on top?

Any advice will be appreciated along with any other wedding cake tips!! Thank you!

Styrofoam is pretty sturdy.  I believe it would support a 6" x 4" tier.
