Hi experts,

I’ve been asked to make a purple glitter cake.  I’m trying to decide the best product to use to achieve the most sparkly effect. It’s a small 2 tier but will still require quite a bit of product. I’ve thought about using sanding sugar and then adding some disco dust to add a little more “sparkle”. Have any of you completely covered a cake in glitter before? Any recommendations??

Not sure if I can respond to messages yet so Thanking you all in advance!!

Whatever you decide to do please don’t use disco dust  It is  not edible and can cause stomach problems.

NO DISCO DUST.  It's nothing but plastic craft glitter and it should NEVER be put on food.

Sanding sugar possibly coated with https://www.roxyandrich.com/food-coloring/hybrid-sparkle-dust
