Hi! I am just a home novice hobby baker and trying to find a good recipe for a Christmas cake, we will be hosting this year for both sides of our families and want to wow everyone! I’ve tried a few of macmoms wasc variations I found here for previous family parties that were amazing but looking for inspiration for some festive recipes? Thanks in advance!!
My all time favorite cake for the holidays is coconut with fluffy, seven minute frosting. You can make a nice coconut cake using kakeladi's *Original* WASC recipe. Another favorite from just a couple of years ago is Allrecipes's Apple Harvest Pound Cake with Caramel Glaze. It is an easy to make bundt cake, but I served it to a lot of people and everyone loves it.
Another old fashioned favorite is Smokey Mountain Jam Cake with Caramel Icing.
