Edible Image Turning Green

I am having an issue with my edible images turning a shade of green after the images are placed on fondant. If they are not placed on fondant, the image does not turn green. Has anyone else had this happen? I am not sure how to prevent this. Has anyone had the same reaction?

I've have not, but could you put a piece of wax paper, slightly smaller than the image, between the fondant and the image to prevent direct contact?
