Hello !

I have two questions to ask :)

Im making a 6 inch 4 layer cake to transport what's the best way to do so without damage ? The car ride is about 30 min so it won't be so long.

Also how long does a buttercream cake last out in room temperature?

Many thanks

If you don't have perishable fillings, a buttercream cake is good at room temp for several days.

Make sure the cake is well chilled, it will be much more stable.  Put it on a flat surface in the car, like the floor, trunk or the back of an SUV.  I like to put my cakes in a box that is near the size of the cake board and brace it all the way around so it cannot slide.  Put a no-skid mat underneath the box to prevent it from sliding around and strap in the box, if possible.  Drive carefully, slow turns, no abrupt stops, etc.

Good luck!
