I have a cheap and nasty fondant extruder that is so stiff to turn, can anyone recommend a good make fondant extruder that is easy to turn that I could buy.

Do you mix  shortening (Trex in the UK) in your fondant?

If not try mixing a little into the fondant before you put it into  the extruder. It makes the fondant softer and easier to use.

Worth a try before spending more money on a new one.

I grease the inside of the barrel of the extruder with Crisco (or Trex) before adding the fondant and warm the fondant in the microwave until warm and soft before putting into the extruder, which makes it very easy to turn.   This is the one I use.                                                                                                               https://www.amazon.com/Highmoor-Extruder-Fondant-Sculpture-Decorating/dp/B07C3R3512/ref=asc_df_B07C3R3512/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242177226191&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15980955567934629655&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9013096&hvtargid=pla-481096390444&psc=1

Totally agree - I nearly gave up on my extruder until I read all the wonderful advice on here - I mix shortening in my fondant and it works perfectly!
