I'm doing a wedding cake for this weekend and bride wants a gold/dark blue cake (examples in pics). I bought super gold luster dust from Sunflower Sugar Art and it looked really yellow in the container. It looks generally the same on my hand. Can I make it slightly darker by adding a LITTLE cocoa? Am I crazy? Will it turn out okay? I didn't want the two colors completely clashing.. I won't be using any texture like the photo, just a smooth color transition. Help??

I was unable to open the link, but gold lusters are different colors, some much too yellow for my liking.  I have no idea if using cocoa or anything else will correct the color.  It is easy enough to mix a tiny amount and paint it onto a scrap of fondant or gum paste.  More than likely, even with a yellow tint, it will look nice with navy blue.

That super gold luster dust by Sunflower is NOT EDIBLE, so it should not be put on anything that will be eaten.
