I thought maybe dahlia - but petals aren't pointy.  This is for a fiesta cake.  TIA!

They're piped in buttercream or royal.  If they're dahlia's, they're piped "backwards"..............I'd call them fantasy flowers.

What is a fantasy flower by definition?  I googled and searched throughout this forum and looks like there are many types of fantasy flowers.  Is it just a non-specific flower?

Yes, a made-up flower of whatever ilk you want it to be.  It's not botanically correct and is not identifiable as any real/specific flower.

I think they were someone's version of a rose.  Indeed, I agree it's a fantasy.
