Okay so just wondering what everyone in Aus uses to cover internal metal cake structure so its not touching the cake?

Everything I have found so far isn't available in Aus.

Thanks in advance

I am in the US, but I use a cling wrap, any brand will do.

I use stainless steel and I don't cover it. If I am happy to eat off stainless steel every day I am happy to put it in my cakes - after it's cleaned of course.

If I am using wires then I put straws in first that have their ends sealed then fill with either white or dark choc.

I'm in Aus but I must admit I'm a little confused by what you mean when you say "internal metal cake structure"?? What is the metal being used for??

What am I missing here?

Me Me - I am assuming for things like gravity defying cakes and the like.

Oh, right!!!!  Got ya   :)

I've only ever seen plastic PVC piping stuff etc used for internal stuff like that.

Threaded rods and copper tubing are also commonly used materials when a strong, bendable structure is required.
