How long before a wedding can I frost the cake? It's a naked cake kinda like this:
and I'd like everything to be done and chocolate set by 10am tomorrow so that I can safely transport it 3.5 hours to the venue. Can I fill, frost, and drip ganache tonight? No fancy fillers, just a shortening buttercream frosting inside and out.
That actually has a 'crumb coat' so it is sealed against drying out. I don't know about the drip part but you certainly can do the fill & frost.
Yeah, I was thinking/hoping that light crumb coat would be enough of a sealer. Thank you for replying!
