I’m a bit stuck onboth the practicality and the design of this cake. 

Can I stick fondant accents to a cream cheese frosted cake and keep the cake in the fridge?

And how would you make it look masculine? The only request is happy birthday Nick in gold lettering. My piping skills are hopeless so I was planning on cutting the letters out of fondant or gumpaste and painting them gold. But I think it will look a bit girly against the cream coloured frosting. 

Any ideas please?
