Hi everyone

I’m making this cake for my sister in laws baby shower next week, but I need help, should I do the drips before stacking or after stacking as I will be stacking the cakes at the venue?

I do them before. For the bottom tier, I take a cale board the same size as the top tier and trace around it lightly. I use that as a guide for my drip and stay outside of that area. I personally chill my cakes before delivery and have not had an issue stacking a drip cake at the location.

The ones I've done I did the drips after the cake was stacked. Simply just use a squirt bottle and fill the edge on the bottom tier until it starts to drip over, and basically the same for the top tier. But then again I never stack on location. All my cakes arrive completed. I do not trust myself under the pressure of a crowd watching me complete a cake.
