Ooops! I almost to start this up tonight. No cakes for me this week. I had planned to make a cherry pie for my dad but when I went to buy a lemon to make the filling, they had good cherry pies for cheap, so I cheated and bought one. Lol Any of you making any Father's Day treats?

My wife graduated from nursing school back in May but we decided to wait until she passed the NCLEX to throw her a party. It was lots more then just the cake but I think it turned out great.
I also had another grad cake due for a student that was going to UW-Madison.
Really nice cakes tonite.
Its been awhile since I’ve done any cakes but since my grandson was graduating high school decided to get out of my slump and make him a cake. The general idea came from wilton but I made it my own. My other grandson’s girlfriend was a couple days later so I was able to use the extra 6” cakes and throw a little something together. Oreo cake is her favorite and since the cakes were chocolate I just made a cream cheese Oreo frosting.
All I had this week was a "Baby Rump" baby shower cake, which is due tomorrow morning. It is a double barrel cake standing over 14 inches tall including the topper. This was my very first attempt at the baby rump topper, but I think it turned out well. Only piece missing is the wording which I will finish in the morning after work.
@thecanadian160 great work and I especially loved the nurse cake for your wife and congratulations to her on passing the test.
@DormCat both cakes looks good but I would love to have a piece of the Oreo one.

@me_me1 your cake is beautiful. I am getting ideas for momma’s 75 Birthday next month and I may look into doing a textured buttercream.
I made a birthday cake for a friend’s daughters first birthday. I will post pictures of it later.

the Canadian -- shoulda put just a little dab of ointment (piping gel+yellow) and blood on the open bandaid -- oooh gross but funny :)

I made two cakes. One was for a wedding and the other for a graduation. This is the first time I did not have to argue with my fondant. I think because I frosted the cakes in a crusting buttercream.

gigglebox -- you said your baby butt cake is a double barrell 14" tall -- and i just caught the one picture of the close up -- and i keep scrolling up and saying to myself -- that is 14" tall baby butt? dang! then i scrolled up higher and saw the rest of it with the polka dots -- duh, kate
But that definitely would be a cute cake all by itself!
