I love their cake designs, I want to make a cake inspired by them. I'm curious on how they cut their cakes when to entire top is covered with big flowers. On a 10 inch cake, would you still cut the cake with the circle in the middle or just cake the cake in wedges. Thanks in advance

If it were a cake for family, I just cut in wedges, but for an event, I'll cut a center ring. I have never seen how they cut their cakes, but now I want to know lol

to me between a 9" and a 10" is where I draw the line for cutting wedges even for family -- I think 10" wedges are too big -- I mean come back for seconds but I would cut that in 2" (or 3" for family) wide strips then cut through that section to make the serving -- cut another strip and so on -- I don't typically do circles -- but on a 10" I might cut wedges that are off center so they are not as unwieldy - if you get what I mean --

Is your concern about crushing the flowers?  I think with any cake disturbing the decorations is somewhat of a concern but it has to be done.  I vote for K8's method --  I'd cut it like a wedding cake and let them come back for 2nds if wanted.
