Hi. I have a 12x18 pan that I need to make a vanilla cake in. I tripled my vanilla cake recipe and it come out terrible. Way too eggy and didn't rise much. I tried degreasing the eggs the second time and using more baking powder but it still was not quite right. Is there a trick when doubling or tripling recipes? Thank you!

I have never had a problem doubling or halving a recipe. Haven't a clue what went wrong????
