Cotton Candy?

Thoughts on using cotton candy as a mane for a unicorn cake?

It is original and would probably be pretty cute.

If you are using buttercream it would have to be added as a last minute item. Otherwise the moisture from the frosting 'melts' the cotton candy.

Thank you for your responses, good thinking about the buttercream, I usually cover in fondant, maybe i'll lay some cotton candy on fondant and give it a test run... :)

The cotton candy still melts over fondant. I had that happen and I live in a very dry climate.
