I am in love with this cake.  But I can’t figure out how they made the middle tier.  Is it a stencil or orlay from marvelous molds?  Also, what’s the pattern name?  It is so pretty.

That particular one looks like it's stenciled because it's so thin. But, the overlay would work as well. Just depend on how you want it to look.

I have no idea which cake you are talking about.

When I open it I can see a blue cake with silver stencilling pattern. I think you could do either stencilled or overlay too.

I know I have seen that stencil at Hobby Lobby!
