I’m making a cake that has to serve 100 people. Can I make two10”/one 8” and one 6”. ? I just wondered if the two 10” can be put on top of each other separated by a cake board. Would it look weird or funny. I don’t have a 12” pan and would rather not buy one if possible. This will probably be my last cake so hate to invest  to buy another pan. Thanks for your help. I’m not a professional just a home baker.

It sounds like you are wanting to make a double barrel cake for the bottom tier which you can definitely do.  So basically your cake (at least the sizes of the tiers) would look similar to this...
