Do any of you guys have a super decadent, dense chocolate cupcake recipe? I'm a home baker and I find my recipes online but I can only find "light/airy" chocolate cupcake recipes. My boyfriends mom asked me to do the cupcakes for her wedding reception. This won't be my first wedding but I can't find the perfect recipe. For dinner they're having steak, potatoes, and a few other heavy/super savory sides so they want their cupcakes to be just as heavy. When his mom was describing what she has invisioned she said she wants it to almost be boarderline brownie like. It's going to be a chocolate cupcake with a dark cherry filling, so I need the perfect cupcake to go along.

Use a mudcake recipe would be my suggestion.

Amazing cupcake recipe, very rich but not exactly dense so I've added another option on the bottom

This is an amazing cake and I think she has suggestions in the comments for cupcake adaptation-In my opinion the melted Choc with the cocoa gives an amazing flavor!

the cake mix doctor has a melted ice cream cake recipe that makes a lovely heavier cake -- i used it as the top layer of a brownie bottom cheesecake groom's cake -- because it would hold up to the same texture and the oomph needed to cut and serve -- it was a great match --

and you can use any flavors -- i used chocolate ice cream and cake
