Are there any major benefits to making wafer paper flowers versus gumpaste flowers?  Are they quicker to make?

Wafer paper ones will be much lighter in weight.  To me gp probably would be quicker as using the many cutters/molds available will help.  With wp one would need to cut each petal and assemble.  But everyone is different.  Some could probably put together a wp flower faster than I could make the same flower in gp :)
