Maybe it's my oven, maybe it's me. I've tried to make a vegan pavlova 4x now and it deflates an hr in. FInally I got fed up and switched to a regular pavlova using egg whites. Held its shape, looks great but the entire thing has an ORANGE color to it! What the heck?!?!?! Can anyone solve this mystery? Is that edible?

orange, huh -- wow

meringues do darken -- usually to a brownish color -- i'm sure it's edible i mean if all your ingredients check out then it's edible --

i was hoping you would let the aquafaba whip w/o the vinegar to see if that fixed your first problem -- now you're off onto another problem -- idk except was your oven too hot? i know we've already talked about temperature -- does it looked burned? orange? i don't know -- wish i could help

btw -- this was the first time i could reply -- there's been a few glitches on cc lately --

best to you! lemme know how it goes :)
