I'm making my son & his fiance's wedding cake. They would like carrot cake for 2 of the tiers. My recipe is quite moist so I don't think it will support stacking. Does anyone have a delicious by dense recipe? Much appreciated.

It is not the cake that supports the upper tiers of a stacked cake.  It is the support system used.  One could stack up piles of whipped cream using the right support.   For a more dense cake have you tired the *original* WASC recipe?  It would be perfect for your occasion.     The *Original* WASC cake recipe For carrot cake I use a spice or carrot cake mix, adding 1 cup of grated fresh carrots and one jar of babyfood carrots reducing the water called for down to only  2/3 cup.  I prefere to use pineapple jam as the filling rather than add it to the cake batter.   But if you prefer then forget the babyfood carrots and add 1 cup of well drained pineapple.  Use the drained juice instead of water.  Makes a super great carrot cake ;)
