How can I give a silk fabric effect on fondant? Thanks in advance.

Use petal dust to brush over it?  Or are you wanting to make a fabriclooking drape?  Explain better what you are trying to do please.

That looks as if its been brushed with petal dust.  Its very pretty.  I'd make the swag, then go over it with a brush.  I love petal dust!

Make sure the dust you use has a luster to it.  The Hobby Lobby brand of Pearl dust does.  Steam it carefully after you apply the dust.

@cutiger  What effect will the steam have on it?  Does that give it a smoother finish?

Steaming sets the color and brings out a bit of shine - which in this case is exactly what yoiu want ;)
