Hi, how would you all go about making this boat sail, edible paper? What kind? How would you attach to the stick?

or would you make the sail out of flower paste and leave to harden? Or normal paper?

any ideas and advice would be appreciated thanks  Boat Sail

I would use wafer paper.  Attach it to the stick w/just a tiny bit of water.  That will  make the 'sail' warp/crinkle some where the water touches it. I would wet the stick rather than the paper - less chance of crinkling.   You might be able to get it to stay using b'cream or piping gel..

That really looks like plain printer paper that was printed, cut out, and the straight edge rolled/glued to the wood skewer mast.  It looks to solid to be wafer paper.

Actually I think it's  thin gp or fondant. It looks too solid to be paper.  Yes, either paper or wafer paper would have a bit of a translucent look to it.   But either type of paper would work well also.
