Should I Tell Them That Cake Won't Be Identical To The Picture?

I have an order for this cake.
I have started making the character and he's come out much bigger than I planned. He will be about 20cm tall by the time it's finished. I don't really have time to redo it and it looks good apart from the size. I think it'll look better stood on the board rather than the first tier as it'll be as tall as the 2 tiers combined.
Do I tell the customer that it won't look exactly the same? It's a friend of a friend. Also I wasn't planning to do the black ribbon and I will be covering the board.
Or should I restart the character?

They will probably enjoy the larger figure. I did the attached and mounted the character separately as a keepsake. Excuse the crappy picture. In my opinion, the black ribbon adds a lot but the board definitely need to be covered.

I think he's a bit too thick .. the original character looked thinner and didn't have that bulky look. Who is the character though? Magbe both are passable

Is he still soft? Can you just like .. lengthen his whole body out??

I don't think he looks that far off. This cake is for a child and I am sure he will recognize his hero. Once you add his boots (you could use the boots to add a bit of length to his legs), belt, etc., he will be much more authentic.

When the client provides a picture of what they want I always tell them in writing (email or message) that I can do something similar and that no two cakes, even made by the same person will be identical. When I have an order requiring a contract, I put it in the contract.
