Fondant Is Not Smooth

I am covering a 14" square cake with Renshaws fondant using The Matt. Its all puckered and holes in it. this has never happened using supermarket brand, Please help, cake is due tomorrow

Have you kneaded it enough?  Usually that's all that's necessary - not that I've ever used that brand
