I'm needing a few new things to make a cake and I'm wondering...do you charge a customer for having to buy these?  Like, incorporate the cost into the cake price?

It's not anything huge, around $25 for SPS and a special cutter as this is my first wedding cake.  I don't have any support system currently aside from dowels and don't have the cutter necessary.

What's the standard on this?  Part of me says I shouldn't since they won't be taking the SPS with them.  The other says yes because it's not something I was going to buy until this cake came up.

What do you all do?  Charge a little extra or eat the cost since it will be something you can use later on?

Thanks!

I charge for SPS, because it's disposable.  You won'[t be getting it back.  The cutter is just a cost of doing business.

That's sort of what I was leaning toward.  I guess that just means I have a new toy!  :)
