Hi everyone.

Has anyone poured isomalt over a fondant covered cake?  Can I pour hot or slightly cooled isomalt over a fondant covered cake? I want it to drool down the edges of the cake but not sure if (a) it will melt the fondant, (b) discolor the fondant and or (c) melt the buttercream underneath the fondant.

Thanks for all of your help :)

Melissa

Isomalt hot enough to pour will melt the fondant and any icing underneath it.

Thanks for your reply but I tried it on my Cake tonight and it did not melt nor did it discolor my fondant. It drooled down my cake just as I wanted it to
