I am looking for Food Lion's whipped icing recipe. I have tried several different recipes, but can't find the right one. Can anyone help?

Do they make their own? I thought they just used Pastry Pride...

You can get it from restaurant supply stores - it's a stabilized whipped cream that comes in vanilla and chocolate flavors.

I have a "Cash & Carry" here which sells it... but haven't looked for it elsewhere.

Thanks so much for your help. I live in Wilkes County, NC. Do you know of any suppliers here. Once again thanks

I don't live anywhere near there, so I don't have store recommendations. I would try calling your local restaurant supply stores or dairies (I've seen Alta Dena distributors selling it). I've seen it sold as "Pastry Pride" and "Frostin' Pride".

Hope you find it!

You can also see if you can get some "Rich's Bettercream" It's a non dairy whipped icing.
You can either get it in the bucket the carton (which needs to be whipped) or the individual colored bags (which come in red, pink, blue, orange, green and yellow) They sell Bettercream at sugarcraft.com

If you have a wholesale club (like Sam's), you can get Rich's Bettercream there. It comes in 4 gallon buckets in either vanilla or chocolate.

I know this thread is old.. but it might help someone looking now.  You can buy the Food Lion whipped icing from the bakery at Food Lion.  I bought it recently for my son's birthday cake...  it is about $3 something a pound and is DELICIOUS.

Just go the bakery and request it.. they will go back to the freezer or where they keep it and scoop you out some... Good luck!
