I plan to decorate 3 dozen cookies with a edible image logo on top 2 days before the event. Is this safe? How long do edible images on cookies last? They have already been iced with royal icing and dried, what is the best way to go about placing the edible image on the cookie?

I try not to place my images on too far ahead of time, especially if they have a dark color on them. I use a very small amount of water  (some people use cornsyrup) to adhere the images. I either then place them in bags and tie them up, or on a platter

Would 24 hours in advance be considered too long? The logo I'm using does have dark blue and black in it

24 hours would be perfect. Even 48 hours, it'll take longer than 2 days for the color to start to bleed. I've never added them before 2 days, 3 at the most of delivery.
