I thought this to be very interesting about the scientific way to cut a round cake. 

What does everyone think about this?

Clever, though the rubber band wouldn't work as well on buttercream.

Personally I just put plastic wrap over any exposed bits of cake.

That is what I always have done too. Saran wrap does keep the cake fresh until it is all eaten. I just thought it was interesting how they cut it and had never seen it cut that way before.

remnant -- had an action packed week & your post slipped by me --

but yes that's a pretty good idea -- but if you just slice and eat more often you can avoid that whole drying out thing altogether --- hahahahaha

but of course if you have buttercream w/o fondant and the cake is small you can still slide it together if you use a long cake spatula -- it is a great idea
