Hello everyone,

I am making a 3D kinder egg cake this Friday . I need some help regarding the size of the cake layers. Can anyone help me figuring out how many cake layers are required and of what sizes they should be.

I am thinking of starting with two 8" cake layers (carving the bottom to look the base of the egg) then gradually going up with single layer of each 7,6,4 (all layers will be 1" thick) . Will this size be enough for 15 servings.

Thanks

I would put a board on top of the 2 8" Layers and then stack the 7, 6, 4 on top.  This will give you the servings for an 8" cake and the other 3 layers will probably give you the servings of a 5" cake.  Hope this helps.
