Covering A Number 8 Cake In Fondant

Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a tutorial or similar for covering an 8 shaped cake in fondant. I am a "have a go" baker, generally ok with regular round cakes but have never attempted anything as tricky as this. Thanks!

it really shouldn't be too bad -- after you place the fondant on there -- cut/tear a hole in each hole of the 8 -- that should help to relieve the stress there -- get a glass or a small rolling pin to swirl around in there to pat it down -- and when you sculpt the 8 shape itself keep a mind to how much room you want to use in there -- i mean you could just take half the cake out of each hole and cover it all up solid with the fondant and black out that recessed area too -- 10,000 different ways to do it -- just don't be timid of it -- you got this
