I am thinking about getting myself and edible printer. I am just not sure what the difference between wafer paper or icing paper is. Is wafer paper good for cookies and icing paper good for cakes? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi Brandy,

Wafer paper is mainly used for creating things that will stand off the cake.  It can hold itself upright whereas an icing sheet is ideal for laying flat on surfaces.  The icing sheet is the best medium for imaging as it will give you the clearest image available.  Wafer paper is less expensive than icing sheetes so if cost is a concern than you can look towards that, however it is not the ideal choice for laying images on a cake. Icing Images offers top quality levels of both products. Both our icing sheets and wafer paper actually taste good!  There is no after taste on either one and they both taste like an ice cream cone!  Both are more stand up to the outside elements and they each offer other great benefits.

I hope I have answered your questions!
