My friend would like me to make a cake like this for her wedding:

[postimage id="3715" thumb="900"]

What products would you recommend using for the glitter and the dark color at the bottom? Is the bottom tier painted, or what method should I use to achieve that coloring?

Thank you!

The black could be done using Wilton Black Spray color, airbrushed with edible black airbrush color, or handpainted/sponged on using a mixture of black gel/paste/dry color and vodka.

The gold needs to be edible since it can't be removed before serving, so gold sanding sugar or sprinkles would work very well.  A light coating of thinned piping gel or corn syrup would work well and the sugar/sprinkles could be patted into place.
