Hi, I'm doing a Decopauge cake and have looking at ebay for coloured wafer/rice paper. Could I also use 'icing paper' on the side of a round cake and could it be torn into peices?

Does anyone have any tips for doing this style of cake.

Thankyou in advance

My apologies for my bad spelling. Also could someone tell me if icing sheets are transparent?

Icing sheets aren't transparent, but you could tear them and stick them to a cake. Wafer paper isn't transparent either...Personally, I'm not a fan of putting a lot of wafer paper on the sides of a cake, because it tends to get stiff when it dries out and it can also be affected by humidity in the fridge. And it's like glue when you try to eat it. The icing sheets might work better taste-wise.
